Raising Standards for Adolescent Care

Family Support and Adolescent Therapy- Getting Teens Treatment They Need

The Youth Support Standards Project verifies clinical support providers who meet quality care metrics that provide a standard of care that sets them apart . YSSP evaluates these outliers within Treatment Transport, Intervention, and Case Management services using a comprehensive review. This is not about meeting the bare minimum, but earning verification by deminstrating cllinical sophistication, peer validation, and holistic practices that always aim to raise the bar. As a member of YSSP it means you lead with the heart; and provide services that beyond everything else, come from a desire to help.

We are not a referral service. We are a public resource dedicated to raising the standard of supportive care to match the quality and integrity expected of treatment itself.
Experience. Reputation. Ethics. Training. These are just the beginning.

How We Promote Higher Standards in Adolescent Care

The Youth Support Standards Project was founded in response to the fragmented and often inconsistent practices that have shaped the adolescent care field for far too long. Families navigating behavioral health challenges deserve better—clearer standards, greater accountability, and providers who operate with transparency and integrity.

Our goal is to bring consistency, credibility, and trust to this space by highlighting services that meet a higher bar for ethical care. We are committed to leading with principles rather than profit, and to helping families make informed decisions with confidence and clarity.

  • Independent review of listed providers for ethical practices, relevant training, and client-centered approaches

  • No paid placements or referral fees, ensuring listings are based on merit, not marketing

  • Evaluation across multiple dimensions including communication, safety protocols, clinical philosophy, and family feedback

  • Clear inclusion criteria that prioritize track record, certifications, and education, experience, and process.

  • Focus on providers who coordinate with treatment, not just transport or placement.

  • Continual updates and monitoring to ensure providers remain aligned with our standards we ask that our listed providers continue the conversation in forward aligned thinking. Pushing forward the common goal of maintaining a standard of care and safekeeping of adolescents emotional and physical wellbeing.

  • Educational content and resource transparency for families, educators, and referring professionals. We hope to spread, and disseminate the best practices and options families may have access to, and work towards increasing access for those who dont.
